SELVA OAXACA opened in March 2019 as a partnership between Jaime Muñoz from Los Danzantes and Alexandra Purcaru from Art Cocktail Club.

Selva is a Cocktail Bar in Oaxaca, where Sierra Madre Oriental clashes with Sierra Madre Occidental to create one of the richest ecosystems on the planet.

Our drinks are an ode to the diversity of Oaxaca, we seek for synergy between innovation and tradition and we use local ingredients, kitchen techniques and Mexican distillates to create gourmet cocktails. 

The space was designed by architect Claudia Turrent, interior designer Martina D’Acosta and Alexandra Purcaru. 

Selva’s most iconic piece is a monumental wall painting by Oaxaquenan artist Raúl Herrera. We regularly collaborate with local artists like Sabino Guisu, Jacobo y Maria, Eloy Borgio.

Selva is number #22 of the North America 50 Best Bars, number 259 of the top 500 Bars and has been a finalist in the regional categories of Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards® for Best New Bar and Best International Bar.
